The family of George Fee II

Here's another family waiting to be discovered, or at least researched more thoroughly.  George Fee II was born about 1675 in Maryland, perhaps Talbot County, which is on the Eastern Shore of the state.  He's the son of George and Rebecca Parnell Fee, and he married Elizabeth Jump, the daughter of William and Rebecca (possibly Chesmore) Jump.  His death date is unknown.  Of course, there are various children with the same Fee surname and the same first name for most of them, and it appears to me that they are tangled up.  I hope I've eliminated the ones who most likely are the children of Thomas Fee who is old enough to be George's brother, or possibly uncle.

George and Elizabeth seem to have had six children, although information is scanty about some of them.  I am not sure when the family moved, but at least some of the children are found at various times in Frederick County, Maryland and Washington County, Pennsylvania.

George is the firstborn, in 1701.   His wife has been identified by some as Parnell Lakin, a daughter of Joseph Lakin.  (I've seen suggestions, but nothing with any documentation, and nothing that really makes sense.) Their children are Thomas, Elizabeth, John, and Rachel.  I'll follow this family in my next post.

William was born in 1704 and died in 1794 in Montgomery County, Maryland.  He married Margaret, maiden name unknown, and I do not know if they had children.

Mary was born in 1708 and is reported to have married a M.R. Cox.  I've found no further information about her.

Thomas was born in 1713 and died in 1800 in Clermont County, Ohio.  He was married twice, first to Rachel Thrasher, the daughter of Benjamin and Margaret Hook Thrasher.  Their known children are George, John, Mary, and Ruth. He then married Sarah Lyeth, daughter of Robert and Sarah Lakin Leith,  and their children are Thomas, William, James, Samuel, Elias, Elijah, Elisha, Jesse, Rachel, and Sarah.

Rebecca was born in 1715 and may have married a Mr. Jones.  Good luck with that one!  I have no further information, or even clues.

Elizabeth was born in 1717 and died in 1796 in Frederick County, Maryland.  She married Arthur William Ingraham, the son of William and Marion Crooks Ingraham or Ingram.  Their children are Mary, Elizabeth, Sarah, Hannah, Nancy, William, Arthur, another Hannah, and Margaret.  (Note: I don't think this is the Elizabeth who married Richard Ankrom; that seems to be a different Elizabeth Fee.   But keep the possibility in mind.)

This short post shows how much work still needs to be done with this family, and it's a lot.  The relationships between the Lakin families and the Fee families needs to be worked out, for one thing.  Here's a place to start, for anyone researching these people.
